Delfshaven has a 625 years long history of herring, gin, grain and beer. During the Ketels aan de Kade visitors can, in the middle of a historic decor, you could taste literally the Rotterdam History. Take a stroll along the many market stalls or slide on in the outdoor Inn; enjoy ancient crafts, cooking demonstrations, street theater and troubadours. The festival focuses primarily on historical food such as this occurred in the period between 1400-1900 in Rotterdam. Also, special attention will be given to specific ‘ Rotterdam-topics ‘ such as the herring-and salmon fishing, the Gin industry and the VOC. Taste the history!
