From Friday the 22nd – Sunday the 24th of September, Rotterdam’s Museumpark will transform into a culinary oasis: Djemaa el Fna Rotterdam. Visitors experience the Marrakech vibes of 1001 Arabian Nights without having to leave the Netherlands. This will be the festival’s fifth edition.
Like its inspiration and namesake, the age-old Djemaa el Fna square of Marrakech, the festival is a vibrant place where the community comes together to enjoy food and culture. It will feature live music, literature and spoken word performances, comedy, visual arts, theatre performances and culinary talkshows. There will also be a wide range of acitvities for children and families. And of course, there will be food: around 40 carefully selected chefs serve their fragrant dishes straight from the barbecue and tajine. Stylish souvenirs will be for sale in the narrow streets of the souq.
Parking: Parkeergarage Museumpark, directly below the festival location
